I recently had the opportunity to fly to Portland with my dad and the head coach of the Blackfoot Broncos softball program. We went there to go to a coaches clinic. It was so awesome, I learned so much information. The speakers that they had were phenomenal. The game has changed a ton since I played it. Everything from the swing of the bat to the running of the bases. The technology that they use to better the sport is awesome. While we were there we stayed in the hotel where the conference was. We went to the hot tub and hung out. Not one person in the pool spoke English, they all spoke Russian. We went shopping at the strip mall, and ordered cheesecake at 11PM. It was a lot of fun. I did however miss my little man. Thank heavens for technology and the phones that can send video messages. I got to see Bradach and my hubby while I was so far away. Another thing about staying in that hotel was that we were right next to the runway. I looked out my window and there was a parking lot and then the air strip. All night long we heard jets flying in and out. Good thing I live next to the train tracks and am used to loud noises all night long. Here is a picture out my window to prove how close we were.
Bradach has a thing for technology. If he gets upset and starts crying all I have to do is whip out my cell phone and he is happy. He also loves to come and sit on the computer with me. We found a fun website www.kneebouncers.com he loves to pound on the keys and see something happen. So we went out and got him his own laptop. He likes playing with the keys and watching the boxes light up and sing but most of all he likes to open and close it. Its so much fun when we get it out he starts flailing his arms and panting like a dog because he is so excited.
Bradach is growing up so fast here are some of my favorite pictures of him. Most of the time I pull out the camera he just wants to stare at it. The one with him one eyed is one of his many eye infections that make it seal shut when he wakes up from a nap. We call him our little pirate.
One last thing for this post. I really need to keep up so I don't have to put so much effort into each post. We love our dog Nakeeta. She is a lab/husky. She is very smart and so sweet to Bradach. If he has a treat for her she is so gentle until he releases it from his hands. She will lay next to him but not on his blanket. Bradach thinks she is the funniest thing, he will grab her ears and lips and she lets him. He laughs and laughs when she is close to him. I think they will get along just fine. She also has a habit of taking perch (like a bird) on the bushes and watch over the cemetery.
