Fun day!!

Saturday was such a fun day for the whole family. It started with Austin's first birthday party that Bradach was invited to. It was a monkey theme and we all had a great time. Austin's mom and I were friends growing up and we both hope that our sons have a fun time growing up together. After the party Bradach went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for the evening while Phil and I went on our first date since Bradach was born, the date was also for our 5th year of marriage. For those of you who don't know that is 8 months. And it is actually longer since I was on bed rest the whole last month, and I was also coaching softball before that. Anyways Phil and I went to dinner and then to the movies. We saw a 3D movie so we got to wear these "Drew Carey" glasses. It was a ton of fun. Phil was such a gentlemen, opening the car door for me and everything! He even dressed nice, which is jeans for him. All in all it was one of the best days I have had in a long time. I think we will be going on more dates in the future.I was telling Bradach we were going to Austins for a party and this is his reaction. He's not excited at all. LOL.

Austin getting caught in the act of stealing Bradach's binky, if Austin had one Bradach would have stolen his...plus we let it slide since it was Austin's BIG dayBradach crashed on the way home from the party. The monkey he has was a party favor, attached to the hand is a balloon. I think he had a lot of fun, playing with the other kids.
At the movies with our cool 3D glasses!

On our way home from our date, Phil said taking pictures in the car while driving is more dangerous than texting while driving, I think he just wanted me to put the camera away.

Passing the crud

This last week was a dosi for us. It started off with my dad getting sick with some stomach thing. Then Phillip got it. That weekend I started getting sick, thinking it was the stomach crud and come to find out it was kidney stones. Yeah for me, right?! Then Bradach got sick with the stomach crud, and I don't know how but he got a cough with it. So Phil got a mutated stomach crud from Bradach, meanwhile Bradach's cough turns into a runny nose also. Oh and I got the mutated stomach crud. You would think that's enough, but nope! Now Phil has the cold and I'm starting to feel it coming on too....what a great family. We sure know how to share! We were all sick and no one wanted to take care of anyone. We called reinforcements, grandma, she got to the door and saw a green cloud of crud floating around and walked away. Come to find out grandma watched him the same weekend grandpa had the stomach crud and she had a cold. So grandma and grandpa are the source. We are still passing around this stuff. Hopefully we will all be 100% soon.

Having fun

Having a baby in the house is so much fun. Brings out the kid in you. Here are some of the fun things Bradach has been into these few days.

Playing baseball! He has a killer swing already at 7 months!
First balloon, we had to take it away, we thought he would pop it with his sharp little nails.
Bradach in a box!!

This is the funniest thing too bad Bradach doesn't do what he normally does to the full extent if a camera is in his face. But when he gets excited he flails his arms and sounds like he is hyperventilating.

Playing blog catch up

I recently had the opportunity to fly to Portland with my dad and the head coach of the Blackfoot Broncos softball program. We went there to go to a coaches clinic. It was so awesome, I learned so much information. The speakers that they had were phenomenal. The game has changed a ton since I played it. Everything from the swing of the bat to the running of the bases. The technology that they use to better the sport is awesome. While we were there we stayed in the hotel where the conference was. We went to the hot tub and hung out. Not one person in the pool spoke English, they all spoke Russian. We went shopping at the strip mall, and ordered cheesecake at 11PM. It was a lot of fun. I did however miss my little man. Thank heavens for technology and the phones that can send video messages. I got to see Bradach and my hubby while I was so far away. Another thing about staying in that hotel was that we were right next to the runway. I looked out my window and there was a parking lot and then the air strip. All night long we heard jets flying in and out. Good thing I live next to the train tracks and am used to loud noises all night long. Here is a picture out my window to prove how close we were.
Bradach has a thing for technology. If he gets upset and starts crying all I have to do is whip out my cell phone and he is happy. He also loves to come and sit on the computer with me. We found a fun website www.kneebouncers.com he loves to pound on the keys and see something happen. So we went out and got him his own laptop. He likes playing with the keys and watching the boxes light up and sing but most of all he likes to open and close it. Its so much fun when we get it out he starts flailing his arms and panting like a dog because he is so excited.
Bradach is growing up so fast here are some of my favorite pictures of him. Most of the time I pull out the camera he just wants to stare at it. The one with him one eyed is one of his many eye infections that make it seal shut when he wakes up from a nap. We call him our little pirate.
One last thing for this post. I really need to keep up so I don't have to put so much effort into each post. We love our dog Nakeeta. She is a lab/husky. She is very smart and so sweet to Bradach. If he has a treat for her she is so gentle until he releases it from his hands. She will lay next to him but not on his blanket. Bradach thinks she is the funniest thing, he will grab her ears and lips and she lets him. He laughs and laughs when she is close to him. I think they will get along just fine. She also has a habit of taking perch (like a bird) on the bushes and watch over the cemetery.

I come home and this is what I found

I went to Portland for a softball conference this weekend. Before I left I told Bradach that he couldn't say any new words, or learn any new tricks. The conference was great I learned a ton of stuff. I could hardly wait to get home and when I did Bradach was a little show off. He learned about his fingers and now he curls them one by one until he has a fist and does it over and over again. He jibber jabbers more than ever. He also has a new cough...first its the real thing then he keeps it up so you pay attention to him. He is such a cutie. I can't say it enough, I love him to death. He also started panting like a dog when he gets excited. Its so fun to watch him grow every day.

New hat

Bradach's daddy has a talent for sewing so he put it to good use and made a hat for Bradach. Well actually he made two, the first one was way too small....the second one perfect, except it kept slipping down over Bradach's eyes. He is so cute in his new hat I thought I'd share.

Pop Gun Fun

When we went to Spokane this fall the family took a trip to Cabelas. There we found a bucket full of pop guns by the entrance. This video was taken after we had been popping two guns at a time and had Bradach laughing so hard he got the hiccups. Daddy decided to grab the camera and shoot Bradachs cute little laugh. The door greeter came over to catch the little kids playing with the pop guns and put a stop to it but was surprised to see adults as the culprits. He let us go only because Bradach was enjoying himself so much. We also enjoyed the animals, but most of all the pop guns and fish.
